Peach Oolong?

I want to say it’s a peach oolong? It translates directly to white peach oolong.

Location: I’m assuming some Chinese market

Price: gift from aunt

Immediately upon opening the white peach packet, I was hit by a wall of white rabbit candy smells, sweet and mysteriously fruity (the peach, perhaps?). The oolong component, I’m going to take an educated guess, is the tea bag. I didn’t put the tea jelly bits in because from my experience last time, I personally don’t find they add much to the drink. It’s just plain bits to chew on. I also didn’t use the cup this time because there was stuff in it, so I used my own tall Christmas mug, especially apt because tis the season. Here’s hoping this expired-8-months-ago drink doesn’t kill me (the last one seemed fine, I’m not dead nor food poisoned).

It looks watery, but I rectified that with some evaporated milk, and also squeezing the tea bag for everything it’s got. It smells, again, like roasted tea, but I can tell it’s a little different than the “french style” last time. Roasted milk candy. It’s a pleasant smell, if not very tea-y.

Is this because I left it expired for 8 months

The texture is sort of weird? Oddly glumpy? I do not know the word to describe it. Like when you keep saliva in your mouth and gurgling it?? Is this because I left it for months????

Peach Oolong Tea

This Peach Oolong is made with the darker, more oxidized oolongs of Taiwan that are known for having lush, playful flavors. Deeply floral, honey and juicy, it's not uncommon to have a lovely cup that's almost like a succulent slice of peach.

Caffiene: Low

Ingredients: Black Tea, Oolong Tea, Apple Pieces, Apricot Pieces, Calendula, Peach/Vanilla Essence

My first experience with Adagio Teas, and I'm glad I went on to try more because despite lofty recommendations, I was bored as heck by this one.
