I just want to preface this with saying that I am still majorly confused abt who is who, so dont mind me refering to people as ‘this guy’

Grade Re-evaluations

tbh I didn’t pay attention really, nothing major here they added F group, so tbh looks like X group was basically F just with a different name I feel so bad for the only guy left in the X, that was mean mnet ☹ Poor Tony, I don’t feel like he deserved to be pushed down this far, but I guess he is getting screen time from this, and is climbing up the chart, seems like he is mnet’s token foreigner since Peak has somewhat disappeared  (I’m not mad tho, but btw why is he so shook all the time lol) Starship boys getting reunited was cute, so glad Hyeongjun ascended after all the trauma mnet put him through as the leader One thing that baffles me is Nam Donghyun, cause I decided to root for him for some reason, but he just floats – got a grade A, they didn’t show his performance in full, and from the sneak peaks it wasn’t so good, now he went down to C, again no reason why… I guess this is what supporting a middle trainee feels like, huh Performance? I guess I’d care more if I liked the song, but I’m not feeling it, soo… Dongpyo did good, but they had to yell at him a bit *for the content*

Battle Prep

Dongpyo gives me major Daehwi vibes, I feel like it’s impossible to dislike him Yohan is clearly a natural talent at everything, personality wise very much ioi/gugudan Sejeong vibes I still don’t get Mingyu’s appeal (but what is new), all best for the kid but he shouldn’t be in top 10 as of now The X factor of the group battle was so obvious, @mnet try to really surprise me some time, k? In general group battles are kind of boring, cause I’m still confused at who is who and they rush through them cause there are so many No one wanted got 7 song, that was… awkward In general everything was going pretty smooth, no one fist fought for center or anything Some funny moments, I died with that one trainee’s attempt at “sexy My weak ass korean let me understad only like a half of what was going on

Performances

So far so good

-          Exo Mama

The weakest so far, but a part of it is because of styling and stage design - it was so dry (styling!); how about we don’t do generic grey toned average boy styling for a song with almost demonic incantations (and if exo did, it should stay in 2012 where it belongs) + camera work and editing was just awful – guess they had to edit around Seobin; the boys did good given the source material, some good moments for vocals, Mahiro caught my eyes

-          Exo Love Shot

Amazing styling, Sihun had the best outfit; they had really catching visuals and dance moments; Seungyeon did the whole naked chest thing… what can I say… the guy has very flexible hips... I did feel sort of attacked; not much to say, it looked really good, wouldn’t mind if it was a debuted group

-          BTS No More Dream

Okay so for a moment I was afraid mnet is gonna pull out Bulletproof pt 2, but THANK GOD; they did surprisingly very good for covering an og BTS song (cause even newer songs get… compromised usually); the fact that they didn’t know this song… fake fans… (I’m not calling out only them, but whole Korea lol), but they put in effort and it turned out real good; tbh Kim Hyeonbin carried this whole team and I’m not mad about it; he has serious potential as a rapper, he gives confident, artistic vibes, like he has something to say which is the most important for a rapper in my opinion; Sunghyun (if this is even how you write that) was falling off the beat a little, but no biggie; Steven Kim slayed his rap part, vocals slayed, one person who caught my attention was Kim Sungyeon (one in a bandana); this team was/is seriously underrated

In honor of Hyeonbin’s hard carry in no more dream I appoint him as my new onepick

he’s just a kid, but I think he’s got a strong head on his shoulders, growing amount of confidence (I think pdx help a lot with that) and bright, humorous appearance

I have some faves, more than 11 actually haha, and its been only 2 eps :’(

My current one pick is Song HyeongJun (I think we’re talking about the same person, the names are always so tricky, cause people spell them differently everywhere), anyways he was the dance leader in X class! What can I say, I’m just a sucker for troubled leader storylines (hence my pick in pd48 was Chowon).

I think at this time most people will have similar faves, just because mnet has only shown us a couple of trainees in detail so far.

Some of my faves:

Kim YoHan (heely boy! unless he has a slip up, I think he is set for debut already)All 3 DSP boys, they are funny and cuteAll 4 Brand New Music boys, what can I say, Brand New knows how to do auditions (also my fav in Wannaone was Daehwi, sooo)Yuri from ESteem (almost in NCT one, I really root for him!)Choi Suhwan - we agree on this one! he is a gem, I’m gonna be upset if he doesn’t get in bcs of beauty standards! but actually, he reminds me of Woozi from Seventeen so I think he has a fair chance :)Two guys from E entertainment, they did a Block B song I believe, amazing performersNam Donghyun, he had orange hair and is Nam Taehyun’s brother - don’t really know why I like him, other than I find him v. attractive and like different(?)Nam Dohyeon (their names will be mistaken so many times lol) MBK, his microphone thing came undone and he caught it in the air!Boys from AAP.Y, they had amazing performance, the one with flower petals

And I root for all guys who are from debuted groups. This is very sad to me, that they have to go on this program, even though they already have worked so hard to debut. It will be great if their groups gain some fans from this. But I can never onepick them bcs it will break my heart if they don’t make it :(
