Zotero couldn't retrieve metadata
This is a tip for those who know about Zotero and can't do without it.
Ok, obviously I use Zotero and its function to retrieve metadata for pdfs automatically. But when I moved from Ubuntu 11.10 to Mint 12, this Zotero feature stopped working! The reason was simple.
I had backed up my home folder and after I moved to Mint, I copied the hidden folders with the settings back to my new home folder. So, I copied along the "pdftotext" tool, which Zotero uses to read from pdf files, but is wasn't compatible with my new system (although the file said it was for 64-bit linux...).ย
And that was all! The functionality is back and working!
