This took far too long to churn out cause tumblr and me have been in a wrestling ring for the past few days anyways- this is a series I wanted to make that explores PDA with subscream. It shall be named PDAS.

Nicknames.

Starscream isn’t a big fan of PDA.. not because he doesn’t like it, but because he sucks at it. If he isn’t good with showing or talking about his emotions- what makes you think he is gonna be good at being sweet? Well.. publicly at least.

Don’t get him wrong! He likes it. He really does! He is just nervous. The only thing is, in the halls of the nemesis or on a mission with others nearby? He will become a sputtering mess of hot air. Please don’t do it in front of Megatron.

Starscream just gets flustered easily. His faceplates feel hotter than a stove when you hit him with a sweet nickname.

What kind of nicknames you might wonder? Well for him to you there are some to choose from; “Darling.” Is very cheesy to him and somewhat repulsive as it reminds him of how fleshies call their mates “Shmuckums honey booboo bear.” And.. yeah no. Yuck. Yet sometimes.. he tests it out just to see if he still doesn’t like it. When he says “Dear” it just sounds and feels like he is trying to sound super proper and more of a pompous aft than he already is. At least that’s what he thinks. He uses “Subject.” When he needs a little ego boost though. It just slips off his glossa so naturally and he finds it pleasing when you look towards him so expectantly. Sometimes he skips formalities and just says “Idiot.” But it’s never out of malice.. usually.

You two both use “Sweetspark.” Interchangeably, as it is a fairly common and simple nickname.

For you to him? You use a plethora of whatever comes out your dermas. A few that makes his wings flutter so sweetly are; “My love.”, “My stars/Starshine” or “My Commander.” PHEW! The last one has his chassis humming and his neck cables tickling with how much it affects his internal temperature. An important detail to notice is how all of these nicknames refer to having some form of ownership over him.

Please don’t say anything in the middle of a meeting.. or somewhere with anyone other than him and him only. He would have stiff shoulders and a scowl on his faceplates while simultaneously tying to control his wings from fluttering happily. I’d like to think his wings are similar to a dog’s tail when showing emotion.

If you do use it in front of others? By the time you two are left alone he is rambling on how “Unprofessional!” And “Disruptive!” You are while having his wings twitch behind him. Don’t worry though, you can quell it with some physical affection.. what kind..?
