I used this texture.

And this psd.

I used photoshop cs6.

So, open your frames exactly the way if you were doing a normal gif. Resize to 500px. And let's sharpen the frames, when it's done crop the part of the gif that you want to appear. Like this:

We won't to need to use the  'canvas size' to make the rest of the background stay larger. Just select 'all gif' as if you were going to crop it and stretch it to side, like this:

Then it will look like this:

Now you should group the layers. Use 'shift' to do it (press the first layer, press shift and then click on the last layer):

Now press ctrl + g to create the group.

Now you will make the black background. Press Ctrl + Shift + N at the same time:

Press okay, and let it below of the group.

Now let it black, press the letter "D" in your keyboard. And click in the Paint Bucket Tool:

Just click in the background of your gif. It should look like this.

Insert your coloring/psd.

Now select your layer group, and click add vector mask:

Now click into the brush tool to fix the parts of your gif that still are visible.

Now choose this brush:

Press the brush where you want to fix. Now it's better.

Add your texture and you done.

Now you can make your personal things, like insert text or let it in black and white. Play with these things, I hope it helps :)
