Just finished reading the Ghostbusters: Interdimensional hardback the other night and Iām still traumatised. So I felt compelled to do some practice sketches of Jenny Moran.Ā It was helpful to know she was based on Donna Dixon, Dan Aykroydās wife. Giving me more reference to draw from, rather than copying Dan Schoeningās style. I canāt believe Iāve only now just seen that I forgot to draw the Ghostbusterās logo on her jumpsuit. Been chatting a lot with @manfromtheepa about Ghostbusters and she told me this AU idea she had of Walter Peck having Poison Ivy powers. Since, when we first meet him in the first film, heās part of the EPA. Now Iāve completely fallen in love with the idea! So many fun things to look up for his aesthetic!Ā
A little remake of a picture of Walter Peck I did to celebrate #GhostbustersDay earlier this year. When I uploaded it to twitter, Dan Schoening himself, the artist behind the Ghostbusters IDW comics (whose work I really admire), liked it! Excuse me while I SQUEE!

Peck is a character Iāve been fascinated with for a while now. I know heās the movie-dickhead we love to hate. But honestly, I just love him. AĀ lot of people have been going back and realising that his motivations in the film were actually justified.Ā Even if shutting down the storage facility was THE stupidest fucking thing he could have done. Plus after rewatching the film, Venkmen was a bit of a dick to him first.Ā I just love how heās developed and become more fleshed-out as a character in the game and IDW comics. Now being forced into this symbiotic, but still contentious, relationship with the Ghostbusters; after becoming the head of PCOC.
(And yes, I still love that they pronounce it asĀ āPeacockā)
Seriously, the comics are bloody amazing and theyāve especially been great for him as a character. Having some great stand-out and even heartfelt moments... as well as watching him get kicked up and down the garden path for being an arsehole.Ā
