Experiencing the Pebble Beach Food & Wine Culinary Bliss

I may have hosted a Coachella house this past weekend in absentia, but NOTHING compares to the Mallmann House at Pebble Beach Food & Wine. A meal, an experience and an entire evening that kept all of the honored guests talking all weekend long, we all felt that we had not only experienced the magic of Francis Mallmann, but that we got to take a little of that “Mallmann magic” home with us.✨

An intimate affair of around 60 guests seated family banquet-style at long tables ideal for sharing food and sharing conversation, the menu - which was one of the best I’ve ever experienced - was met by both the epic, everlasting gobstopper of a wine pairing and the conversation and friendship around me. From friends from the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea Classic running up and hugging Nick and I in the middle of dinner to getting a sneak peek of the Mallmann method out back from our dear friend - Mallmann devotee, @ShuGood, of Kiawe Outdoor - the night felt less like the formal affair it was, and more like a family reunion with the crème de la crème of the culinary, wine and sommelier world.

I am just privileged I was invited to have a seat at the table and taste the richness of this kind of life. Saying that I am “grateful” and “honored” doesn’t even begin to suffice. I simply fell in love all over again that night with this life I’ve been crafting and creating, and I think it’s gonna be quite the long love affair.

The Chefs with the Best, at the Pebble Beach Food & Wine lunch

What a beautiful way to kick off Pebble Beach Food & Wine! Yesterday, I had the honor of attending the Lexus Chef’s Table Lunch with one of my all-time faves, Chef Ludo Lefebvre, and a new-to-me favorite, fellow Texan, Chef Dean Fearing. Both are Lexus Culinary Master Chefs and both brought tastes of another dimension to the esteemed feast. While the lunch was called “Bon Vivants d’Epicure,” I preferred to call it “The tastes of Paris, France married with the tastes of Paris, Texas” when describing the sold-out lunch to those who didn’t get the privilege of attending. Both delicious and, beautiful with its rosy hues and tablescapes - I cant think of a more elevated way to coast into the epic weekend we have ahead of us. Thank you, Chefs. Thank you, Lexus.
