In case anyone is here because of legitimate concerns and doesn't want to just watch the game fail-
Most people don't like I and M not because people don't think the AI accusations and poor coding don't deserve a bigger response, but because those two are immature chucklefucks who think bullying and throwing their weight around is going to get them what they want, and it's not. They have been told repeatedly to go through proper channels (like the rest of us have to). If they really wanted to make a good faith effort, they would have led a group of people to (RESPECTFULLY) submit tickets about AI use and the game's structure. That's not what they've been doing, because they don't actually want a proper response. They just want the admin team to personally soothe their egos, and nothing the admins could say short of that will satisfy them.
To anyone with a brain, it's pretty clear that the Admins aren't very happy with the state of the game either, because they obviously want it to succeed, and right now it's not. We do not know what is happening behind the scenes, and we don't need to know. As others have said, Blue has already addressed the AI concerns once. I'm pretty sure the issue at large will get addressed again, on their terms, when they're ready. Actually, they've outright said as much. Again, if that's not enough for you and you want to stop playing the game, that's completely fine. But going into the official discord or pb forums and throwing a bitchfit about it is, frankly, fucking pathetic. You're a grown ass adult and all you can do is the equivalent of shouting in a room and screaming for the manager?? Seriously? Complaining among friends is one (extremely understandable) thing but to demand a personal response from the admins is just extraordinary levels of entitlement. The PB team is already overworked and stressed, and now instead of focusing on the game that we all love they have to focus on responding to this bullshit.
It is undeniable that the PB team has made many, many mistakes. I and many people believe that they are doing their best to grow and learn, but if you want to stop supporting them that's your choice. Even if it's just taking a break from the game, that is a healthy and completely understandable thing to do, and something I have already done personally. It's natural to be disappointed that the game isn't meeting expectations. But if you're not going to either contribute to the game getting better or step away, then just shut the fuck up. I will be the first to say that I'm extremely anti-AI and if it has actually been used in PB I'm going to be extremely disappointed in the team at large, even if it was just through negligence. But if you don't believe people- that teams- can learn and grow, then why are you still here.
PB has not reached the point of no return. It is struggling, as many new games do, but it still has the capability to move past this and become a great game. Many, many games start like this with horrible bugs and glitches and a team who is new to everything that they're doing. Hell, PB has already beaten the odds by actually becoming a full project after a kickstarter, which is not something many funded kickstarter projects achieve. The thing that sets a game that fails from one that succeeds is the not only the admins willingness to learn, but the community, and PB has such a great community (aside from a few outliers). We just need to be patient. If you need to step away from the game, do so. If you feel like you can't be patient, put the game down for six months and see how it is then. All we can do is support the team by submitting tickets, and wait. That's the reality of it. They've said they're going to implement new QA changes, and that will slow the game down, but will provide a much better project. Many will say they should've done that from the start, but we're here now.
No one is saying that dissent should be pushed under the rug. We're saying it needs to be done respectfully, while understanding the PB team has a lot going on and a lot that they're trying to fix. Just because the Admins occasionally personally respond to people doesn't mean you can try to drag them into drama or get them to respond to you personally. Have some decorum. As staff have said, if you have (constructive) criticism send them tickets- I wouldn't be surprised if they keep an eye on them long before they actually respond. PB has a lot of room to grow, and I hope we'll all get to see the game remake itself into something better.
