On FR, the artist has to front the cost and take the hit if the cosmetic doesn't sell, but on PB they don't have to take that risk at all because the fee is just attached to the pelt. It's a way better system.
You still have sink silver to print the items on both sites, and on FR it's quite a lot, plus a hassle.
Also assuming a 200s fee for every pelt is crazy. Most pelts have a lower fee than that; 50-150 is much more common and lower priced pelts sell more given similar quality.
I sell pelts and they're a good source of income on PB. We're only a few months into the game and they'll stay up unattended forever to make me passive income. That's literally what I wanted and why I made them.
I know we're on the salt blog, but can we be a little more aware about the economics of it all? Maybe take a second to look past the knee jerk "making money is evil" thing? I see so many complaints that would essentially leave the site to die.
