It is the small things that make a difference. I truly believe in it. 

I was shopping for groceries in a supermarket. While I was paying for the bill, I just discovered a calculation mistake. 

I brought 3 bottles of Shampoo, because it is stated in the price tag that buy 2 and get 1 for free. I chose 2 bottles of the same fragrance, and the other one, for another type of fragrance. But the machine charged me for 3 bottles. I just asked for clarification. 

A man behind me seemed to be a bit annoyed. He was paying for a pack of batteries, and seemed to be in a rush for something. 

In the past, I might ignore such a look, treating the act of demanding explanation from the salesperson as exercising my own right as a customer. 

Yet, as you grow, experiences teach you something, that you should have empathy under circumstances like this, coz you have been through such a pain. 

I said in a apologetic tone, " Sorry." 

The man's facial expression relaxed, "It is ok." he replied.

While the staff was checking for me, the cashier handled the man's deal first. Suddenly he asked me, "Do you need the payment amount to accumulate the coupon marks?"

I kindly rejected coz I have not joined the scheme, which the customer gets the coupon points whenever he / she shops. and he / she can use them as money when they shop.
