The stars aligned today and I got my monthly full-time paycheck, the last installment of my urban hiking adjunct faculty pay, and I got paid by one of my gyms! Most of my paydays aren’t by day of the week so the fact these all aligned on a Friday is extra special! . This was also the month that another 2.5% was taken out of my full time job paycheck to get me to a 12.5% retirement contribution. This is up from the 5% I used to contribute back when my employer 2:1 matched me so 15% of my pay was getting contributed between me and my employer. But due to COVID budget constraints they paused the employer contribution for a year so I’m making up most of the difference. First at 10%, now up to 12.5% with plans for the full 15%. . We have 5 upcoming furlough days at work so I’m Jan, Feb, and Mar I will see a further pay reduction, however I’m going to see if I can swing bumping up my individual retirement contributions to the 15% by March which would would be through July as currently projected, but who knows! . Also with this round of paydays my emergency fund and my wedding planning fund both will hit milestone amounts when the transfer deposits hit those accounts! . #payday #paydayfriday #personalfinance #personalfinancebywomen #retirementgoals #financegoals #savings #savingsgoals #retirementplanning #retirement https://www.instagram.com/p/CG-FCTbhJ3g/?igshid=5qi7ufdfmlxk
