With these Valentine Red Velvet Cupcakes, you can share a sweet treat with your loved ones on February 14. They are a deep red color and feel like velvet. On top, there is a smooth cream cheese frosting. Whether you're celebrating with a special someone or just because you love yourself, these cupcakes will make you smile.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1 cup buttermilk. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 2 large eggs. 2 tablespoons red food coloring. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 teaspoon white vinegar. Cream cheese frosting store-bought or homemade. Valentine's Day-themed sprinkles optional.
Instructions: Warm up your oven to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners in a muffin tin. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder together in a large bowl. Put the eggs, red food coloring, vanilla extract, white vinegar, and buttermilk in a different bowl and mix them together. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix them together until they are just mixed. Be careful not to mix too much. Fill each cupcake liner about two thirds of the way to the top with batter. After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. First, let the cupcakes cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then, move them to a wire rack to cool completely. Place the cream cheese frosting on top of the cupcakes once they are completely cool. A piping bag can be used to add some style. You can add Valentine's Day-themed sprinkles if you want to make them look even better. Give your Valentine's Day red velvet cupcakes to your guests and enjoy them!
