This morning I got an email from the managing editor of Paul C. Brunson's website which I did a guest post for on February 9th of this year, The "Lottery Test" Could Predict Your Future Success.

The post received 164 comments and came about because in late December I had written a Facebook note about my rules for being more productive and a close friend I met through the Jamaican Diaspora Advisory Board, Akelia Lawrence-Maitland, saw something similar on Paul's site, saying that great minds think alike.

She introduced me to Paul via email, including information about the similarities in our way of thinking and Paul replied fairly quickly, offering me a chance to write a guest post.

I accepted but decided to wait until I had a post that I felt was right for the site and would do well. I figured I would know it when one hit me. That was the lottery one and came about after driving cross-country to California with my family and just thinking about the decisions I needed to make about my team and energy-sapping relationships.

I never dreamt of being asked to become a regular contributor, even though I hoped it would happen down the line. The email this morning included the following:

We really appreciated you allowing us to feature your blog post entitled, "The Lottery Test Could Predict Your Future Success" on the site! It resonated well with our community of readers, and Paul and I agree that you'd be a great addition to our small team of guest writers. Would you be interested in joining?

YES!

The reply came back this evening:

On the behalf of Paul and myself, we are really excited to have you as apart of our contributors/guest bloggers! We enjoyed reading your post and I'm sure your future work will resonate well with our community of readers. We appreciate and value your unique voice and perspective.

So it is now official. You can expect to me more of my stuff there and I will reserve my personal blog for other things. This is an exciting time for me and I must say a big thank you to Akelia for believing in me and making the introduction without any expectations on her part other than just wanting to help me.
