Happy Home Designer honestly still holds up very well as a decorating game. The amount of options for an Animal Crossing game is unparalleled. If there's a way to import my New Leaf designs then it's perfect (PS: found a save editor hehe)(PS PS: it doesn't work) (pspsps: kitty)
There are so many exterior options and you can even have custom design roofs! Imagine what you can do with those New Horizons designs for fake roofs, awnings and attic windows. Even stained glass and greenhouse roofs. If every pattern tool that can convert these files freely wasn't down at the same time... It's weird that ACpatterns and Thulimna's New Leaf pattern tool are both not working. Hopefully being updated?
A wallpaper I made, for illustrative purposes
Imagine a stained glass roof (this is from an app and can't be scanned on the switch, probably)
I hope the creator of the New Leaf pattern tool doesn't think it's obsolete and takes it down, because clearly it's needed in situations like this (I actually use it to scan QRs while I use acpatterns) and the New Leaf community is still going strong (the ACNH community shrunk down pretty quickly in comparison when it comes to online tools, modding, etc.)
Luckily I still had the AC:NH design pattern editor that's an app you can get from Github. It's great for people with emulators or hacked switches who don't have Nintendo online
PS: Both editors suddenly working now yipiee
