Been messing around with some custom battle armors
First up, we made an undine that tries to balance between being aquatic or being landborn by using a mechaincal jump booster. Uses the lrm3s of the (upgrade) model and the multipurpose ammo of the original. The er micro laser and battle claw are retained.
The magmadon is a heavy suit that still manages to jump 90 meters at a time while carrying the max amount of fire-resistant armor. While this does not leave much weight left on each suit for offensive weapons, smart choices can still lead to devastating results.
The pachyderm is another heavy suit, maximizing the speed a suit of this weight class can run.
The standard (lrm) model uses mechanical jump boosters to achieve this high speed, and allow for safe deployment from airborne vtols. LRM4 launchers in each suit and a large amount of ammo give them good battlefield endurance, but they can run out.
The other models use a myomer booster to achieve their speed but must sacrifice some armor protection. One variant mounts a battle-armor-scale LB-X autocannon, giving the squad the ability to deliver a deadly hailstorm of flak. The other mounts a pair of Anti-Personnel gauss rifles, making them a terror to conventional infantry and still quite dangerous to armored targets.
