Luka helps improve the player's abilities - he can stand watch while they sleep, allowing them to regain more health and lose exhaustion faster. In addition, firearms degrade more slowly with him in the party. He is quite difficult to keep alive if the player tends to get caught by muggers or other hostiles, as Luka will always attempt to take the first hit for the player.

If Luka is not interacted with or recruited, he will be hanged by the Inquisitor on Day 7, due to his apparent 'desertion'.

Luka most closely aligns with the Termites.

Luka begins with a unique rifle. He can be traded food, medicine, bandages, and tourniquets in order to part with it, or the player can give him rifle ammo and he can cover the player with his weapon. (Classic) he is bugged and notoriously inaccurate - savvy players leave him with his rifle until they can trade alpha-tablets or bandages from drunks for it.

Luka has special interactions with Commander Block, Alexander Saburov, Capella, Notkin, Khan, Grace, Murky and Sticky (P2 only), and Victor Kain or Big Vlad (Classic only). Luka automatically submits himself for court-martial with Block, only for the Commander to clear him of any charges and command him to remain with the player as their bodyguard. Luka will thank Saburov for his shelter (P2 or Haruspex Classic) and is unfailingly polite to him - he has a similar response to Victor Kain and Big Vlad (in Classic). Luka is playful with Capella, saying she reminds him of his own little sister, and maintains a teasing, gentle big brother-type dialogue with her. Luka likes Notkin and will ask him questions about Artist/Jester. Luka humors Khan, and can, surprisingly, provoke appropriately childlike responses from the boy. Luka is greatly concerned for Grace and softly asks her questions about her past out of worry. In P2, Luka teases the player about how Murky likes him, and he and Sticky can mention that he looks out for the kid.

Classic: In the Bachelor's ending, Luka is devastated the Town was destroyed but accompanies the Bachelor. In the Haruspex's ending, Luka remains in town, now wearing the clothes of a normal Man NPC. In the Changeling's ending, Luka stands at attention beside Commander Block and Clara.

Osip is recruited as a Tragedian to be a courier, but is easily convinced to join someone else and leave the dangerous job. He can help the player by distracting others or causing a scene, allowing them to steal or loot while they are looking away. He also has a unique apartment in Spin-A-Yarn Square (Classic)/in the lot behind the Theatre (P2) the player can rest at.

If he is not recruited or interacted with, he is killed by townsfolk on Day 5 because he was claiming to have spoken to the Shabnak-adyr.

Osip most closely alignes with the Utopians.

Osip can be traded jewelry in exchange for the medicines he's received as a courier.

Osip has special interactions with Georgiy Kain (P2 only), Maria Kain, Victor Kain, Andrey Stamatin, Eva Yan (Classic only), and Mark Immortell. Osip enjoys Maria's company and calls her 'a great laugh', though he puts no stock in her powers. Osip likes Victor and has apparently spent time at the Crucible for dinners, reminiscing about Nina. Osip has semi-flirtatious dialogue with Andrey. In Classic, Osip feels a kinship with Eva and playfully teases her about her flighty nature, but clearly cares for her, and is devastated in the Bachelor route. His relationship with Eva is omitted in P2. In P2, Osip admires Georgiy's drive and focus, and the respect seems requited. If consistently brought to Mark Immortell to speak, Osip is eventually kicked out of the Theatre, and if he enters the Theatre at any time after that, he disappears (Classic) or loses his name (P2), becoming a Tragedian, losing his unique model.

Classic: In the Bachelor's Ending, Osip supplants Mark Immortell, seen with Maria in the new town. In the Haruspex's ending, Osip takes a bunch of people (implied to be former Tragedians and Executors) and leaves Town. In the Changeling's Ending, Osip returns to the Theatre and gives up his character to join the backstage.

Life will continue for Inna. She cannot stop - she's just an ordinary woman who needs to put food on the table. If not interacted with or recruited, Inna will contract the Sand Pest by Day 6, and be dead on Day 7. However, she can be saved if the player has a cure and is willing to part with it. Surprisingly, she'll not defend the Town, and is on board with destroying it for the Polyhedron's survival.

Inna aligns most closely with the Utopians.

Inna will trade food or bandages in exchange for needles and razors. She can mend/repair clothing, and if she has needles, she can even stitch the player's wounds, restoring their health in exchange for time.

Inna has unique interactions with Alexander Saburov, Georgiy Kain, Maria Kaina, Big Vlad, Vlad the Younger, Katerina Saburova, and Aspity. Inna laughs at Saburov's thoughts on gaining power, scoffing that he wants to actually help. Inna similarly points out that Georgiy and the Kains have no idea what it is to struggle from nothing. She initially mentions that she used to mend Nina's cast-off rags, but quickly becomes antagonistic to Maria when Maria is dismissive of her. Inna claims Big Vlad has tried to run people out of their homes for his greed and says his son's a disappointment. Inna questions Vlad the Younger at every turn, fully unimpressed with him. Inna is surprisingly gentle with Katerina and apparently steals her needles so Katerina cannot use them. Inna and Aspity strike up a surprising bond centered on despising the hypocrisy around them - Aspity suggests that at some stage, Inna may have been able to learn the Lines, but the time is past.

Classic: In the Bachelor's Ending, Inna stands with the Utopians, walking up the stairs to stand taller than Maria. In the Haruspex's ending, Inna sits at Nina's tomb. In the Changeling's ending, Inna returns to her endless cycle, imprisoned once again.

Should Stella avoid being recruited or interacted with, (Classic) she'll survive to Day 12 and face execution from the Powers That Be for her action... or inaction during the epidemic, or (P2) she'll becoming increasingly paranoid once the Inquisitor arrives that she's being targeted, and shift her allegiance to Commander Block, surviving to Day 12 by ratting out Aglaya's escape attempt. She advocates for the fall of the Polyhedron, if only because she fears that it's a path onward that will leave her behind.

Stella most closely aligns with the Termites, and slightly with the Humbles.

In the game I've set up, Stella's the most metagamey companion, allowing my player to gain extra EXP which he can use to get new companions, even when she's not active, and can regain resources when failing rolls. I imagine in P2, she'd act as the game's only quicksave opportunity due to her meticulous note taking and/or a source of Inquisitorial Coupons, and in Classic, her presence prevents a member of another's Bound from being infected on days 1-11.

Stella has unique interactions with Yulia Lyuricheva (in Classic only), Peter Stamatin, Andrey Stamatin, Alexander Block, Aglaya Lilich, Big Vlad, Victor Kain, and (if the player is not the Bachelor,) the Bachelor. Stella discusses Yulia's pet theory with her, and can even conclude either that Yulia is wrong (if the player has not failed a main quest (Classic)). Stella dislikes Peter, finding him uncouth and vulgar due to his twyrine dependency, and recognizes Andrey's name from the Capital. Stella can switch allegiance to Block so quickly after he arrives. Stella is quite diplomatic with Big Vlad, kissing up to him to ensure she has a powerhouse on her side before the Inquisitor gets here. Similar to that, she is respectful and polite to Victor Kain, and somewhat flirty. Stella bonds with the Bachelor over being not from Town and how weird it is here. Likely in front of poor Eva.

Classic: Stella remains with the Inquisitor in each of the endings, surviving no matter what and leaving the Town.

Lara taught Galnai to read and write, encouraged the girl's individuality - but it's hard for one of the Kin to forget what being part of a body that contains the world is like. Lara helped Galnai conform to Town - helped her be comfortable going by Galina instead of Galnai, but Galnai cannot help but mourn the loss of her people and her belonging.

Galnai is forbidden from joining the Kin, but she still maintains a tenuous tether to the Earth, and if recruited, can help the player listen to the Earth, can call herbs without needing blood (though this uses her blood instead) and she can even sacrifice herself in the place of another.

Should Galnai go unrecruited, she remains with Lara, even should Lara nearly go mad with despair and attempting to assassinate the General. however, Galnai will die on Day 11, murdered by one of the arsonists (PClassic) or by the army (P2). Galnai should she survives, strongly encourage the player to choose either the Nocturnal Ending (P2) or the Changeling's Ending (Classic). She has a foot on both sides, and cannot bear to see one part killed over the other.

Galnai most closely aligns with the Humbles.

Galnai cannot be traded with, for she has broken Kin tradition since all she has was given to her by Lara with no trade allowed.

Galnai has special interactions with Lara, Anna, Taya, Oyun, Aspity, and Vlad the Younger. Lara is encouraging in a both maternal and paternalistic way towards Galnai, wanting her to give up her Steppe heritage, not understanding why Galnai still clings to it. Galnai seems to know what Anna has done, although she doesn't say what it is - she despises Anna. Galnai begs Taya to bring her back into the Kin, but Taya refuses, though she doesn't let her attendants attack Galnai for speaking to her. Oyun and Aspity refuse to speak to Galnai no matter how she begs. Vlad the Younger has a strange fascination with her, and his words to her are almost flirtatious, on the borderline of inappropriate. Galnai can be chosen to sacrifice herself instead of any sick member of the Bound, though she will refuse to do so for Anna or Vlad the Younger.

Classic: In the Bachelor's Ending, Galnai vanishes, running into the Steppe. In the Haruspex's Ending, Galnai is seeing by Taya's side, implying that she has returned to the Kin. In the Changeling's Ending, Galnai is with the other Humbles.
