Feeling creative?! Then join the Community Action Centre (CAC) for our launch of our monthly zine making workshop where you will be given an introduction to Zines and Zine making. In this two hour workshop you will put your creative spirit to work creating a mini- magazine, with words and pictures cut up from other main stream magazines and photos. We will be providing you with magazines and all the supplies you require for Zine making. However, feel free to bring any magazines and images you would like to use in your Zine. November’s Zine Workshop is Trans/Queer Themed. All are welcomed Where: George Brown College - St. James Campus (200 King Street East, Room 165B) When: Wednesday November 25 2-4 p.m. November’s workshop will be facilitated by: mel g campbell About the Artist (Facilitator) mel g campbell is a queer, Black, chronically ill, (sometimes) femme poet. In her work as an educator, poet and burlesque dancer she features themes of resilience and intersectionality. She is passionate about interdependence and believes in combining art and activism to create change in a world plagued by histories of violence. Among her goals are: learn to swim, write a book(s), and dismantle all systems of oppression. She is a work in progress. Look out for her first poetry collection in 2015!
