@passicntea sent “ look at me and tell me you don’t feel anything. make me believe it, and i’ll go. ”
logan has not ever been and likely never will be good with being candid about his feelings. it made his day to day easier, really, as selfish as it often was. and if there’s anything that he’s feeling in the moment that jian calls him out, it’s selfish. it’s insensitive, the way his immediate reaction is to take a step back in order to widen the gap between them. but there’s an ache in his hands, as if his impulse to shred whatever this was between them was wrong. nonetheless, he’s still lifting his gaze to meet jian’s eyes, completing the first part of his demand. “i —” make him believe it. hell, there was nothing logan could say to himself that would make the lie believable, especially with the way he’s looking at jian and jian is looking at him. he likes having his eyes on him, even after he practically put logan’s back against a wall in order to call out his bluff. he can’t deny it and that means something. “i can’t,” he chokes out, almost surprised by his own honesty. “i don’t exactly know what to say — i’m sorry. but i don’t want you to go.”
