After my mediocre experience at Roma Pizzeria (LINK), I decided I had to find Boonton’s saving grace. I headed down Main Street, and within a 3 minute walk stumbled upon two more pizzerias, one of which was Pasquale’s Pizza. I picked this one initially because it was on the side of the road I was on. Great reasoning, I know. Upon entering, I once again ordered a pepperoni hoping for a miracle, but the Pizza Gods just weren’t with me that day.

Before I even get to the pizza, let me tell you about how weak the service was at this place. I ordered a pepperoni (they had no slices out) and waited a good 5-10 minutes, just to be asked by a different counter girl than the one who took my order if I had received my slices. I had not. So I waited another few minutes before I was presented with two slices instead of one, under the pretense that it was because they were small. Honestly, I wish they had only given me one because I practically had to force these slices down. The crust had absolutely no flavor, the equally tasteless cheese and subpar sauce were a big mushy mess, and the pepperoni was mediocre at best. How do you mess up ronis!?! Alas, Pasquale’s was not meant to be a diamond in the rough either, and I have no plans on returning. Especially when that hot mess cost me $2.60. Noooo thank you.

Let’s face it: surprise parties (no matter how young or old) are a riot. There’s always that moment of anticipation that gets everyone on the edge of the chairs. And this party was no different.

We’ve known Mike for a few years now and it was a pleasure to be part of his big day. His surprise party was held at Pasquale’s in Royal Oak. We were set up before guests arrived at 6 and the birthday boy arrived around 7:15.

We heard it through the grapevine from some of Mike’s closest friends and family that he seemed to be hinting that he knew about this party. It certainly didn’t seem like it because he absolutely looked surprised! The look on his face was priceless!

As far as the venue goes, Pasquale’s is conveniently located off of Woodward. The waitstaff was amazing and the food was awesome! You couldn’t ask for a better place to have a small party. Pasquale’s was definitely accommodating to the needs of Mike and his guests and we would recommend this venue to anyone.
