These came up on my Facebook memories today. I drew these studies ELEVEN YEARS AGO. BROOOO
I’m sure I posted them here too, but individually and I’m not digging for them. So here we are!
For @grayghostgal @dragonmasterhiccup and @06strawberrylemonade28 who requested a scene from WTWGM and Hiccstrid cuddles. I combined the ideas, hope that’s okay! This is the scene where Astrid gets drunk and cuddly.
I drew this IN Berk! My husband and his family went over to the Harry Potter world, which I don’t care about, so I decided to just pick a shady spot in Berk and drew for the afternoon.
Astrid came over and sat with me! She asked what I was drawing.
“So this is merman Hiccup.”
“What does that mean?”
“Hiccup as a merman!”
At this, she busted out laughing, and then clarified, “I’m not laughing at you, I’m picturing Hiccup’s face when he hears about it!”
She hung out with me a little while, then had to leave. A few minutes later, a random girl approached me and said, “hey! So this is gonna sound weird, but can I see what you’re drawing?”
“Sure!”
“Oh my gosh! That’s amazing! Astrid told me you write fanfiction! What’s your handle?”

A commission I got this month of Percy Jackson and Blackjack, Hiccup and Toothless, and Ezra and his Loth-Wolf.
Hiccup’s not sure what’s cooler, the sword disguised as a pen, or the Light Saber.
Toothless at least thinks one is prettier.
Not sure if this would be a great idea for travel sketching or not, but drawing Hiccup deep in his hyperfocus while crafting something sounds interesting. Kinda like when we see him sketching, drawing blueprints, or putting small pieces together at his desk.
This was a lot of fun! I tried to show him with messier hair (is that possible?) to show he’s been running his hands through it.

Fishing and sailing meant everything to the village of Berk. Hiccup had been led to believe he has a seawater allergy, and that’s why dad’s been keeping him away from the boats. But when he accidentally takes a dip, he finds out the real reason his father has been so secretive about his dubious origins. He thought it was hard enough keeping cool around his crush and getting approval from his fellow tribesmen, but no. Now he has a tail to worry about, of all things.
