Hold the Line!
These four Kuritan 'Mechs were sent to break the line where Partikill Soultions were sent to hold.
Originally I set up a river cutting through the center but one of the players noted that rivers seem to always be in the middle of our matches... So I changed it up a bit...
Eventually the two lances began to tangle. The Kurtians didn’t keep it tight enough and the Catapult and Panther weren’t able to engage until later. You will also start to see small wooden hexes and dice, this is the falling artillery rounds that are on a two turn timer.
In the opening shots the Partikill Warhammer shot an arm off the Jenner.
For a few turns the Partkill Warhammer and Panther are out manuvered around terrain to prevent them from getting any good shots. The wounded Jenner with a serrious case of “PPC-fear” hugs the walls choosing to join his lance in dog piling the Hatchetman pilot that has a serious case of Target Fixation.
The vindicator spent much of his time on that hill sending PPC charged words of encouragement and weathering the hard rain.
The Hatchetman never did use his hatchet and ended up needing to Eject before his mech was scrapped. The Warhammer and Panther get back into the mix, the Panther eventually destroys the Jenner after it suffered several critical hits to the gyros and legs.
The Warhammer pilot still fearless even after getting splashed for 5 damage to the cockpit due to falling artillery decides to mix it up... and actually tanks the damage as no one is able to land any good hits.
At one point the battle splits off into two micro battles.
Eventually the Vindicator, like a parishioner at church being visited by Jesus, learned to walk again.
Suddenly the fight turned sour for the dracs and they begun a hasty retreat.
The panther ended up losing it’s PPC arm again and suffering significant damage during it’s duel with the Catapult. The Catapult suffered minor armor damage and ran out of missiles. However being taken out of the fight for a non significant amount of time by a light mech would easily be considered “virtual attrition” or whatever it’s called in military terms when you prevent the enemy from using it’s assets but not outright killing them.
In the end the Drac panther was captured intact (missing leg components). The Jenner a steaming pile of scrap and the Quickdraw and catapult ran off to safety. The Hatchetman just needs it’s arms reattached and serious internal overhauls and it’ll be ready to stride again.
