Okay but like... a wild idea for a fic/general idea overall I've had for the longest time but havent shared yet (because im a coward), BUT have also thought more about lately, especially after seeing Across the Spiderverse:
A Chucky Multiverse
Where pretty much any and all AUs exist in their own universes and one of the chuckys in these universes finds a loophole/way to get to said universes, possibly by accident. Shenanigans are guaranteed
The main idea i had is an AU that takes place after Seed where Chucky ends up doing a spell gone wrong that sends him to a universe that takes place in 1988 — where his human self is still alive but very different than what he was at that time. The biggest difference between them?
This human version of himself in this other universe still has his parents. But that doesnt mean this version '*isnt* a killer... more along the lines of Dexter in a way
