#partially venting

Greetings! 

My sincerest apologies to those who were hoping for more content from me. I have been writing during this break from Tumblr, but I have not published anything for several reasons. 

First, before my birthday, Halloween, @silverscribbler and I were working on a Halloween fic and a Diavolo birthday fic. These fics were put on hold while I was dealing with sleazy assholes at my work. We had to get police involved and several female and assigned female at birth individuals had asked me for my assistance in ensuring the males involved were charged for their crimes. The court proceedings have ended and my employer has done everything they can to keep the case under the radar and out of the media. They do not wish to lose clients for the actions of two men.

Second, we were intending on publishing the fics and headcanon posts we were working on, all at once, on Thanksgiving Day. This did not come to fruition, as you may have noticed, because I ended up needing to take on extra work hours. When you lose two people then several more quit or move to another department there is a lot for others to pick up and take on. Oh, and one individual had maternal leave at this time as well. Clients were being moved and the adjustment period for everyone was incredibly difficult. We missed three deadlines and I have, in February of 2021, finally caught up on all of the new cases I was given.

Third, @silverscribbler and I were experiencing a lack of motivation to write for Obey Me after certain events and, in his case, the issue of wanting to write for an audience that does not want the same content. Scribbles has wanted to write fics without needing to say “demoncest” for characters that are not related. He grew up in a church where everyone was seen as “Brother (name)” and “Sister (name)”. Throughout the Obey Me story this is heavily implied to be the case for the Celestial Realm. Simeon was “Brother Simeon” to “Brother Lucifer”, but once Lucifer fell he left the “church” and was no longer “Brother Lucifer”. Obviously we don’t see people in church as all being related so when “Sister Jane Doe” and “Brother John Smith” become “Brother and Sister Smith” they are not actually marrying their own family members. However, for the Obey Me fans this is not the widely accepted truth. This has been impeding his willingness to edit my canon x canon works as well as write his own canon x canon works.

In short, he and I are working through some hiccoughs that have occurred behind the scenes of our writing and I am trying to help him regain his desire and motivation to write for the fandom. I hope to have my works published to this site soon, but I do not have a time frame for this. I do not believe I have been missed, but I hope this helped any of you, who were curious, understand what has become of my Tumblr page. 

Day 6 - Tell the story of your worst dungeon experience!

Ok....Im not really gonna go to into detail here but 1 Qarn run sticks out.  The group itself did fine, killed all the bosses within 1 or 2 attempts, my biggest issue was with their attitude. The healer was a mute, so idk what kinda player he/she was, the other SMN was rather critical of my playstyle (meanwhile he would take 2-3 rooms to realize his Egi had died) and the tank......the tank was a total douche.

On first wipe the first thing he says "fuking retards" Alright, you're not used to wiping to the Tauri mob, thats fine.  It clearly said at the beginning some1 in party hadnt cleared it before, so you shouldnt be too shocked bud.

Other lil comments not worth mentioning were tossed around, and finally the main boss. First attempt we wipe (he is a bit of a spaz after all) Tank says "i'll help kill keys since Dagg isnt helping" I explain that i am infact helping kill keys, but as far as i can tell still majority of my dmg is DoT spells, casting DoTs takes too much time, spamming Ruin + egi isnt fast enough to kill the key before the AoE, im not entirely certain what im doing wrong here (i am by no means an expert at anything in this game now or then, so criticism is welcome) He simply says "Get better DPS".  I appreciate your input, really, but that doesnt tell me jack shit. i ride the GC and try to control my Egis best i can (i cant use the pet hotbar w/controller its too assbackwards, so i have commands set to my standard crossbar)

Anyway, the 2nd attempt we kill it (i happen to die at the last second) and the tank proceeds to teabag me. And then. doesnt offer me a raise before warping out.  Allright so i didnt do so great, but what in the hell is wrong with people? Are there no manners anymore? Is common courtesy so hard for some people? This was my last Duty Finder dungeon and will be at least until they revise the que system to include what you're queing for.
