As one life ends in a rescue journey another one begins. Everyone meet our new fella Rosco! Remember he was the guy that was found out in a small town and had been abandoned there. We picked him up today. He has lost weight inbetween vet visits and has been being fed well. We are quite certain that there are other issues beyond the heartworms. Possibly cancer. It was decided for him to go to Forever Foster. He will join the land of the Labs with our Fletch and Fernie. We believe he is truly hospice and would not even be able to go through heartworm treatment. He is not blind and can see but he has a horrible infection in his eyes. He has just arrived in his foster home tonight with Anna. We will do further updates as he adjusts in the next few days and after his health is really truly assessed. Even if he is not with us very long he will be shown so much love during that time. He deserves kindness, safety, and knowing he belongs. Even with his extremely deteriorating health he has a happy heart. 💗 Proven time and time again dogs can teach us so much about love. #rosco #lab #seniordog #abandoned #emaciated #hospice #partialblind #eyeinfection #brokenbody #happyspirit #whisperingwillowsseniordogsanctuary #whereloveiswhisperedtothelastbreath #13yrsold #foreverfoster (at Whispering Willows Senior Dog Sanctuary, Inc.) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxBE0tWh73Y/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=cn7qmt7bcsad
