Last year, a strange bird appeared briefly; we thought at first that it was an escaped parakeet. Turned out to be a white finch!(sparrow? I don't know most birds at a glance.) It returned today at the feeder with its flock.

I don’t know if you’ve been asked this before, but is the white spot over Jira’s eye a scar or a birthmark? Or is it something else?
She was born with it. She has partial albinism, so her skin and eye lack the pigmentation. That white spot won’t grow bigger.
Not to be confused with Vitiligo, which is a autoimmune disorder, where your skin loses more and more pigmentation over time.

Partial albinism
believe it or not, I discovered I possess a lot of the traits that are usually associated with albinism, although my dark hair negates full albinism.\
I was light auburn as a child, I have astigmatism, nystagmus, heterochromia, double jointedness, autism, I was slightly developmentally delayed, very fair skin and light and sound sensitivities, but they're not very pronounced generally
I didn't know a dark haired person could genetically be albino, but I wonder now if I should be tested??
