As someone who somehow already accumulated over 130 hrs of Paralives gameplay, which sounds… a tad concerning.

I swear I have a life. Anyway, my feedback is this: Build Mode is absolutely S-tier, PAM is pretty good, but the gameplay itself is very lacklustre.

I know it's early access. I know it was made by like 15 people. I've taken that into account. I'm still allowed to say that while I see great potential, I really hope the game doesn't fall into the trap of becoming too chill, too cozy and overly protective. I don't want a world where there are a dozen warnings before the slightest inconvenience can happen. From what I've seen, most players don't want that either. A game can maintain its PG rating while still including hardships and unexpected tragedies. The Sims 2 had the perfect balance of realism and comedy and I hope Paralives follows a similar path.

I hated them at first too, but they grew on me once I started having more group conversations. It feels like a group chat in a good way, y'know what I mean? My main gripe is that while it has some storytelling potential, in-game it all looks like:
