Following 2015's The Intern, she linked up with Netflix to produce her next film and now a few more details have arrived surrounding

Paris Paramount is no longer a go at Netflix despite recent reports that Nancy Meyersâ movie was casting some big name actors.
Nancy Meyers was all set to direct a star-studded $130 million budgeted romantic comedy for Netflix. It was reported that the film, Paris Paramount, has been removed from Netflixâs proposed slate of upcoming projects and will not be moving forward. Some of the cast members who were rumored to be attached to the project were Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, Michael Fassbender and Owen WIlson.
The central reason for the discontinuation of Paris Paramount may be that its budget was climbing steadily from the original $130 million price tag. At her prime, director Nancy Meyersâ high grossing comedies, Somethingâs Gotta Give and Itâs Complicated made just $124 million and $112 million domestically. So, $130 million as a budget for a director whose more recent movies have never grossed such an amount may have been just a tad too hard for Netflix to swallow. Sure, Meyers had made What Women Want which earned $182 million in 2000 but that was decades ago.
