Marguerite Daisy flowers (Argyranthemum frutescens)
My boyfriend asked me to draw a card for his dad’s 60th birthday literally maybe 3 or 4 days before his big birthday celebration so I kind of had to bust my ass to get this done in time, but I’m happy with how it turned out!
Turning 60 is considered a very important age in Asian culture because it means you’ve completed one full life cycle, and are about to begin another “new life”. Many people consider 60 to be a significant milestone also because it’s “the age” when people generally retire (but let’s be real who can retire at 60 now LMAO)
His dad is an Earth Pig, so I incorporated a lot of lucky elements in this:
The number 8, represented as 8 Marguerite flowers (commonly known as the Paris Daisy)
Lucky colours: yellow, gold, grey, and brown
Personality strengths of the pig: warmhearted, gentle, generous
