Sri Lanka Welcomed China Donated Frigate Sri Lanka welcomed its Chinese-donated new frigate, renamed as "SLNS Parakramabahu", with a comissioning ceremony at Colombo port on 22nd August.

Polonnaruwa is also a #UNESCO World Heritage Site. The lower floors of the palace were built from bricks while the upper levels were built from wood which has since been burnt and rotted away.
