17. favorite AU to writeÂ
mmh I don’t really have one? I’m just not a big fan of modern AUs (writing them, I love reading them) so that would be my least favourite :p but out of the AUs I’ve written, I’d say my favourite was my merman!Bard AU. (I never finished it though, sorry to the few people who read it)
30. hardest part of writing
already answered that one but here it is again: getting started :p for real, it is for me. just opening my doc and write for longer than thirty seconds at a time, haha. once I’m into it, it gets easy. but getting into it can take me refreshing tumblr ten times, making three gifsets and having an existential crisis.Â
42. do you plan or do you write whatever comes to your mind?
for short fics, it’s what comes to my mind. I start writing, see where it goes, and stops when it feels right.
for long fics, I plan each chapter, or at least the whole story (knowing I’ll improvise some things because that always happens) including the ending. for these I need a bit more than a rough idea, because I need to feel like I actually can write 3k chapters every time, or else I don’t believe I can do it and lose motivation.
for one shots, I usually have the rough idea, some scenes I’m excited about in my head, a general plan, and the ending (it’s very important to have the ending, or else I don’t feel like I know where I’m going and I’m more likely to procrastinate the whole thing.)
