This last weekend I threw a baby shower for my sister-in-law with some family and friends, and I'm rather proud of how it turned out. We did the food, decorations, AND photography and it all turned out pretty nice. Granted, none of the ideas were original, gotta love Google Images, but I think it's safe to say we did a good job with what we had.
I made the rosettes and collectively we made the table skirt. My best friend did the diaper cake and, of course, the tissue paper poufs came from somewhere that wasn't me.
Close-up of the skirt. I've seen different types of these on various websites so we went to Hobby Lobby, found some fabric we liked, added a bit of tulle, some ribbons (regular and burlap) and BOOM. Table skirt.
The adorable parfaits in mason jars. I love mason jars. Put something in a mason jar, and I will love it. This is a pretty good example.
These are the rosettes I made, and I have to say I'm really proud of them, they turned out really cute. They were mounted on a window and that's why the light looks the way that it looks. Mount them on a regular wall and they'll be opaque.
A baby shower games book that one of the hostesses picked up at Target. The games were fun and I highly recommend them....
The baby's room is Cinderella-themed. My best friend put this wreath together with little diecuts (she's got a Cricut, so she can basically do magic) tied to the wreath. On each slipper is a note from one of the guests to the baby.
The ideas definitely weren't mine, but the pictures are, and I'm so happy with how they turned out.
