Sebek who would happily read books with his father and happily hold his hand.

Then, as time went on, that changed?

Because of what people might have been saying behind his family’s backs? Or the other kids? Someone who didn’t belong to the faes or the humans?

Who learned to find his human father the strange one because of not only those around him but because of his grandfather too?

Sebek who loved his father so very much, but time and others led to a rift (though one sided)? Mr. Zigvolt, who continues to love his family wholeheartedly despite the way his father in law treats him and, now, his son?

Sometime ago I really wanted to draw Sebek's mother because I thought the story how she met Sebek's dad (he was a dentist and she was visiting his clinic.) and of course I pictured Baur's daughter as this tall, curvy and very intimidating who really is there to keep her human husband safe : D

Papa Zigvolt is an excellent dentist, someone who has to limit his patients since he has too many. Humans don't seem welcome in Briar Valley, yet he has no end of people who want his care, which must mean he must excel in what he does, not to mention the reason why he limits his patients is to make sure each gets the time and dedication they need for each of their unique needs.

He's also remarkably stubborn. He's a magicless human in the very magic dependant Briar Valley, and I can't imagine the inhabitants were very welcoming. He's married to Mama Zigvolt, and I dont doubt Baur put him through the ringer, and yet he's still married to his wife and by her side.

Like imagine you move to the Briar Valley and you're quite an outcast because you're human

Now your father in law hates you for being human as well.
