Distraction ask 6: what were some of your favorite books as a kid? Have any of them had any long-term influence on you?
I liked a lot of books as a kid, but very few really hold a lot of meaning to me anymore? I find a lot of the books I like now are more meaningful because I’ve grown into myself more. Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, etc. are some exceptions. There was also a Chinese version of Cinderella that I loved--but not a lot of favorite childrens books that have made their way to my adult life.

Teacup & lace for the cottage core asks! (Because I’m always interested in your musical choices & making you say nice things about yourself is apparently my new hobby... “say something nice!” 😘)
Teacup — 5 favorite songs at present 🍵
Guiltless — Dodie
Mrs Hippopotamuses — Relient K
The Parting Glass — Whoever Sings it but Celtic Woman and the High Kings are really good.
She — Dodie, again
Burn the Witch — Emma Blackery
Lace — 5 Things I like about myself 💕 (Lena, you got me)
My ability to interpret words into podfics or my reading of stories or poetry, I don't like reading things straight.
I have a fair taste in clothing? I enjoy expression through clothing.
My memory for media details and my interpretation of them! I'm pretty good at that and observing patterns.
I like my art! I love doing art and I think I'm fairly good at sketching and some painting!
I enjoy writing and think I'm alright at it! I like interpreting real issues into stories. And I think my skill in meaning makes up for my lack of word variety.
Imagine if Diana were Zelda’s mèt-tèt/spirit guide. 👀
Like instead of Edward when Zelda was in limbo? I’d be so into that, plus it would have gotten rid of the whole “EDWARD DID YOU KNOW??” “We don’t have time for that now” issue lol
What color/personality type would you say you’re most like? Fun fact: whenever I see you in videos, you have a greenish aura. In pictures, it’s more blue/blue-green.
Ah Lena! Never failing to make me smile! I think I’d mark myself as a Green as well! Though, perhaps with those blue tendencies? So I think you’ve gotten me very well! Love you! I would want to say you’re a yellow or a blue, Lena!!

From white-tie avenging Lydia: Can she roll her tongue? What's her favorite soup? If she could turn herself into any three animals at will, which would she like to be? What would happen if Missy went on a road trip with Jake from State Farm?
Lydia – first of all… why? Alright..
1;; I cannot roll my tongue.
2;; I like hot and sour soup, though I have to take it slowly as it is… hot and sour?
3;; three animals? I’d like to be able to be a warbler, a bunny, or a koala, perhaps?
4;; if Missy went on a trip with Jake from State Farm? Is this a fanfiction request?
Missy sits, bored, tired, feet on the dash much to Jake’s dismay. It wasn’t safe. And certainly wouldn’t be good in case of an accident.
“You really shouldn’t do that,” he tries to say, as nicely as possible. But Missy tuts him quiet immediately.
“Hush, human, I’m reading.”
It’s true, she is. But she’s already finished the book three times this ride.
“W-what’s the point of this?” The man asks. He was an insurance man, not a chauffeur. Apparently that hadn’t mattered to Missy. Missy had seen him, with his carkeys, red shirt, and car safety pamphlets and… er… recruited him immediately. He’d been driving her around in circles for hours, and somehow, the car hadn’t stuttered for gas.
Missy laughed musically, mocking. “Why– I’m killing an afternoon. Better than killing for the afternoon, Jack.”
“It’s Jake.”
“Right–” Missy said, tossing the book into the backseat. “Jake of State Farm.”
“From?”
“Hmmm.”
“Well,” he says, nervously as she takes her boots off the dash and settles a bit more… normally, “I’m often called Jake from State Farm.”
Missy snorts. “Why?”
“Ah, I was in a commercial once?”
Missy even snickers at that one.
“What’s funny? It was a silly one off,” he said, defensive. But Missy waves off the reddening of his cheeks.
“Ah, don’t be flustered love. We’ve all done an insurance advert at one time or another.”
“All?” Jake asks, turning the corner back to the office.
Missy just shrugs. “Sometimes you get offered something to do for a day.”
The car makes it into the parking spot at the front, and Missy claps her hands together with a laugh. “Well, that was fun. That’s Jakey. Anyhow, look up Direct Line insurance adverts one day. I had fun then. And fax me a letter when you’re done.”
Distraction ask 4: (I keep forgetting if I’m calling it “distraction question” or “distraction ask” 😅) What is your favorite thing about yourself?
Oh I see, this was trickery so I’d say something kind about myself – well played.
Actually, I like a lot of my creative abilities. None of them are so inherent that I just have been able to write or sketch or paint or follow vocal patterns – or...
I think my favourite thing about myself is that I’m passionate about interests. That I enjoy things – and separately but on a similar note, if I’m passionate about something (learning or absorbing), I’m invested in it.
Distraction question 3: if you could instantly master a skill or talent, what would it be?
Ah, perhaps cooking! I love cooking, but often mess something up. Still, if not cooking, I might master the skill of efficiency. To get things done more quickly than I typically do!
