galaderon is too snooty, as is gladeholm. hill home is too much the shire for me to find it enjoyable personally. ezry has way too much shit going on. too fucking cold in frostwind.

great question, sorry it took me a day, i was doing fuck all yesterday so i didn't want the reward of answering this lmao

so obviously kenna brings her wizard gf. i cannot for the life of me remember her name but she's coming. (for like. personal attachment reasons and because kenna knows having a caster Helps).

and kenna is a student of bahumian history. she knows that the best, most successful adventuring parties are trios. (she ignores the idea of the curse of broken trios. she will pick some people up along the way to make sure they don't stay a trio). so she only picks one more person. i'm gonna say.... someone from the crick. (bc she loves hardwon and moonshine and also bc meemaw sent someone to irondeep as a liaison in the aftermath of the whole thing with the death of the king of the blues and the jovyre shit.) some sort of young upstart ranger looking to prove themself and wanting to spread the teachings of the crick throughout bahumia once more.

as for the phenomenon... probably something happening in malscurial that commander morrigan has asked for assistance with in an attempt to strengthen the tenuous alliance between the two communities. an echo of the ultrus bullshit or something. medium sized potatoes, nothing kenna couldn't handle, but also nothing that needed Major Attention.

Of instead of the elementals, we're the eladrin giving boons to the boobs, who would choose who (and maybe what power would've they recived)

so, caveat being that i do think the actual boons from melora that go with the divine heart they get at the end of the campaign are an homage to aryox and telaine in a lot of ways. because melora kept them with her always. but

to actually answer the question. i'm giving them like. reasonable abilities to have at level 7 which is where they were in the crick arc.

i know that the boobs choose the elementals, but i'm putting this in the other direction.

melora chooses hardwon. you'd think she would choose moonshine, but she doesn't. melora's devotion to moonshine is known, but hardwon's love and devotion for moonshine causes her to love him even more. so she picks him, even as early on in their story as that arc is. (his immediate love for the crick helps it - she is its stalwart defender and finds a kinship in him there). her gift for him is still one of defense, a boost to AC, but the more powerful one is that battlemaster ability that allows someone to know some statistics from their enemy. because she's about watching and wandering.

telaine chooses moonshine. she sees the anger and feels a kinship with it. the way moonshine lets it guide and strengthen her. she wants to let her use it in a way telaine herself never could with the pact. moonshine's gift is a boost to her wisdom, and then access to a once per day casting of dragon's breath - at 5th level. to point the anger in a specific direction.

so i'll answer the cobb and marabelle one so i'm not repeating myself.

it's the crick, so it was honestly dramatically simple. they were around the same age - and both older than jolene - so it would have been something like school or a time out sack where they first crossed paths.

they didn't really remember that time as The Time they met, though.

it was summer. a soggy, muggy sort of day that really only happens around huge bodies of water, and the bugs were out in even stronger force than usual. people were complaining, the kind of complaining that only ever happens when humidity hits 80%, about nothing and everything and juuuust enough to get on the nerves of a few 8-year-olds. so, separately, the two of them wandered away from the crowds and hullabaloo. to a tree. on the west side of the crick.

marabelle wasn't expecting to see anybody there, she was planning to quietly maneuver mushrooms around at the base of the tree, to see how much her magic could create. cobb, truly, was just going for a walk. nothing else planned. when he happened upon marabelle there, at the base of the tree and softly swearing about things not going her way, he thought about ignoring her. not stopping. leaving her alone.

something in him didn't let him, so he softly announced himself and asked if she wanted some help. mentioned something he'd seen another druid do while teaching a youngin' about druidcraft. a kindhearted comment about her not getting in her head and feeling rather than thinking.
