3. How does their social personality differ from how they act when they’re alone?
Varthar isn't someone who acts different in certain situations, he's always Varthar. however, when alone, you could hear him hum melodies or quietly singing. if there's animals around him he often speaks to them. otherwise he's pretty much quiet and does his own thing.
4. How do they act around a crush?
one of his main characteristics is his brutal honesty. he hides nothing. he doesn't force himself on anyone though. so if he has a crush on somebody he cares to let them know they're beautiful and that he likes their company. he doesn't excessively court them, but he does tell them. whatever they do with that information is their own business. he just can't lie nor likes hiding how he feels from anybody.
and for Pandrake:
5. Do they have a “tell” for when they’re lying?
he has many. he gets fidgety, he stutters, he becomes very angry. he's a little mess. the main example i can come up with is whenever he argues with Varthar and has bursts of shrieking, voice cracking shouts the moment he mentions "AS IF I CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU" because he does, in fact, care about what happens to Varthar. a lot.
12. How do they show affection to someone they love?
i'm going to elaborate further on this because we have love as in for someone who's family and romantic love. so for someone who's family, he provides them with comforts instantly. anything he can do to have them take a break and rest he does it without hesitating. he shows affection through offering help mostly, but he's a very open person and a very good listener. he sits down with them, talks to them, makes sure they're feeling alright. he gets very emotionally involved in stories and what others go through. he doesn't have issues politely holding someone's hands or caressing their back. he's very caring. as for someone he's romantically in love with, he shows affection through spoiling the shit out of them, pretty much. all of the above happens but it's a lot messier. HE'S a mess. his mood swings a lot because he's just feeling too many things at once for them, wants to be too many things at once for them, struggles to find order. when he eventually exhausts himself, he becomes very calm and genuine, and speaks truly with his heart. only in this moment, one can truly understand how sacred love is to him. he's sweet and speaks softly, and holds the other very tenderly.
