#pancarnation

#pancarnation is my tag for anything that offers an embodied example of pantheism, things that remind me of and help to conceptualise a pantheistic God-world. I wanted a tag separate from #pantheism, because that one is more for excerpts from theoretical or religious writings that are explicit in their pantheism and attempt to explain a pantheist theology, and so I didn't want them to get mixed up. I was stuck on what to name this tag and had a reread of Rubenstein's Pantheologies: Gods, Worlds, Monsters. she uses the term as the title for one of the book's Pan-centred interludes, and she seems to get this term from Catherine Keller writing on Nicholas of Cusa. Rubenstein later writes that the pluralist pantheism she outlines, drawn from many eclectic sources,

affirm[s] a kind of pancarnation: divinity’s inability not to express itself in and as the endless, stubbornly un-totalized run of all things.
