got on pagebound recently n its looking preddy neato:) reddit format book site is pretty terrific i think. it really seems to encourage more discussion than goodreads and storygraph and librarything were all ever even designed to facilitate. its completely new and cool i think. also it lets the community vote on similar books to a given book so naturally im digging into some #charlottes webs action after i post this<3
hey if you like tracking your reading with something like goodreads but hate ai try pagebound! it's a completely ai free site (with an app coming soon i'm told!) and it's very pretty and fun to interact with. also you're supporting a small indie site rather than fucking amazon
I’m trying to get into reading again and have started using the pagebound app. It’s AI free and tracks your reading and has discussion forums for each book. It also has reading challenges as well as curated lists made by actual real people.
I’m currently looking for more people to follow if anyone is interested.
My username is @/EchoesOfFlowers if anyone wants to follow me. My reading tends to be cosy fiction (like The Dallergut Dream Department Store) and well written non fiction books around ecology, disability, philosophy and social justice (like Entangled Life and Disability Visibility) but I’m looking to expand my tastes a bit.
I made a list to collect the truly weird books I've been collecting on my TBR! (suggestions very much accepted!)

Hi friends. I’m obsessing over PageBound! It’s really inspiring me to read more, and that’s saying something because I’ve already been reading quite a bit and am pretty busy with school/work/life.
Pitched as a goodreads+reddit, but ran independently by two women and is anti-AI, I’m kinda hyper-fixating on it because of features like the quests, which are set challenges in different themes that give you badges based on how many books in the quest you read. (Bronze, silver, gold+). I joined two so far, and you can see I’m at silver on both lol. I also like the list feature, where you can make your own playlist of books basically. I’ve only made one (vamps of color) but I’m loving it.
Follow me on there if you would like!!
Do you use goodreads and are tired of being a little lap dog inside the handbag of capitalism? Do you want to still track your reading and discuss books? Do you really want to leave half stars? Well, do I have the app for you. Pagebound: where there’s a pretty interface, seasonal quests, a dnf option, and not a millionaire CEO in sight. Oh, and it’s anti ai. Convinced yet?
