As 2025 has come to an end, my book snake has too. I really enjoyed this project, and I'm very proud of the result! Every band is a book I read in 2025, the color indicates the (main) genre.
Blåhaj for scale, the snake is about 1.65m long. It is really funny to see April/May, when I read the entire Dutch literature award shortlist (greyish blue) and Sep/Oct, when I read all the Russian children's books that the library had to offer (pale blue).
This year, my book tracking project is going to be a sweater. It's a bit more tricky, since I don't know exactly how many books I will read in advance, so maybe it'll be way too short or maybe it will have a hood. We'll see, but I look forward to it, at least! Each book will be a patch with the number of stitches corresponding to the number of pages (divided by 5), the number of rows representing my review (out of 10), the color indicating the year that the book entered my TBR, and the stitch type signifying the format (print, audio, digital).
