The Real Reason || Addison and Autumn || Multi-Para
Every kid is afraid of the dark at a young age, everyone but Autumn. She welcomed the darkness with arms wide open, because that was what was comforting to her. The voices, the blackness. That is why she partied so much, because it made her feel alive and not so alone in her life. She would never tell her mom about her struggle to find herself or her struggle with depression. Her mom had her siblings to worry about, and she had been faking a smile for years, why start being honest now?
She sighed, throwing back one more drink before making the walk home to her mom’s place. She could go to her place, but it was farther and she didn’t want to drive in her current state. At least she was being smart about something. Autumn chuckled to herself, throwing the bottle in the garbage so her mom wouldn’t see it. No lights on, good. Her mom must be asleep or at work. She hoped work so she wouldn’t get caught. It was 3am after all, so maybe there was a pregnant woman in labour?
Sighing as she grabbed her keys out of her bag, she put the key in the door and turned the lock, opening the door quietly as she walked inside, then closed the door and locked it back up. Walking to the kitchen, she walked to the fridge and grabbed the jug of water then wandered to the cabinet and grabbed a glass out of the cupboard, then saw the crash before she could stop it. One of her moms favorite wine glasses came crashing down onto the floor and glass was everywhere.
“Fuck.” Autumn breathed out and winced as her eyes adjusted to the light that came on. Turning, she looked to her mother. “Hi Mom..” she frowned.
