i know the Doctor and Donna were just "joking around" about being gooey about each other in No Place, but i also think that if the Doctor thought Donna wouldn't mind, he'd totally be in her face (well, more, rather, because who am i kidding? he's always in her face) about his affections towards her. the man literally had cuteness aggression over her wearing his coat!

the way they were marvelling at the idea of going on an adventure again, with just the two of them, like the old days! if the bi-generation didn't happen, there is no chance that they would've left the other alone. the Doctor would have "randomly" popped up wherever Donna went and Donna would have bribed the Old Girl to come to her at will. the only ending for them is that house in the French countryside.
