hey pact family! 

we just wanted to give you a heads up that on friday, september 11th, our game will shift from june 2027 to july 2027. there will be a 4th of july event to start off the new month in game and, at that time, all june paras will come to a close. we wanted to give you enough time to finish out and/or get further in your current threads and plots prior to this coming weekend’s event! 

more to come re: the event soon! in the meantime, have fun with the tasks, gear up for tuesday’s askbox, and keep fleshing out those plots!

hey hey! below are some updates re: activity and secondary characters: 

as previously announced, we are now allowing secondary characters for current members! your second character should be a huntington beach resident/local or a tourist NOT from within the group. the app for secondary characters can be found here. once filled out, send it to the main’s submit and we’ll reach out with further input or acceptance. your second muse’s blog can and should be a sideblog on your main muse’s account. please note, if admins feel your activity on your first character is not strong enough for a second muse, they will let you know. 

good afternoon, pact members! as we’re about two weeks into the rp, we just wanted to thank you all for your activity, your plotting efforts, and your absolutely kind words thus far. we’ve truly enjoyed seeing these skeletons come to life and can’t wait to see what continues to unfold! below are just a few clarifications/updates from the admin team.

we have updated the rules around headcanoning. please see them here. with such a small group, it is necessary for us to make sure this isn’t happening. we want everyone to know what’s going on at all times.

the admins want to encourage everyone to be sure they’re plotting with every member especially those they have pre-established connections with. sometimes it may be difficult to come up with something new, but remember that there are all sorts of plots that could’ve occurred in high school up until now. please be sure to go in depth and really make these connections rich and unique. as a reminder, if something you’re plotting might affect a current plot you have with another muse, we strongly advise letting that mun know. connections are important and often shape characters. we want them to be meaningful, but also be known to the wide group. 

the overall consensus of our second character poll was in support of current muns being able to bring in a second character if they were consistently active with their first muse. more to come on this soon! 

✉︎ INTRODUCING ASK BOX TUESDAYS!

As promised, we want the pact to be an rpg where everyone can come together and deeply develop the character they’ve created. To change things up and give more of an opportunity for character development, every single Tuesday the admins will post a new ask game. If you’d like to participate, please follow the link in the source and reblog that week’s chosen ask game! The answers should be in character and tagged with pacthq.ask. They are public and visable to the characters. Should you choose to participate, please be sure to send an ask or two to  each person that reblogs it - we don’t want anyone to feel left out! 

Ask games start at 5pm CT on Tuesdays and end at 10pm CT on Wednesdays! 

EVENT ONE | BEACH BONFIRE & FIREWORKS! 

Whether this first week or so of vacation with old friends has been a blast from the past or a really anxiety proving thing, summer is kicking off with a bang! In order to spend a little more time together, Austen and Beckett have decided to throw a little BEACH BONFIRE just outside of the beach house THIS FRIDAY! The city of Huntington Beach happens to be doing a fireworks show, so what better an opportunity to get out in the sand and hang out as a group? There will be hot dogs to roast, marshmallows to toast, and more booze than ever imaginable. ( did someone say jello shots?! ) The night will be a little cooler and the bonfire is sure to cause some sparks! Now that the whole gang is back together, be sure join in and get lit 🔥

TLDR: this event is mean to serve as an opportunity to infuse drama into the group, to bring people together, and to have FUN! please tag all posts with ‘pacthq.event1′  it will run from FRIDAY, AUG 14TH at 5PM CT through SUNDAY, AUG 16TH! during this timeframe, please refrain from replying to threads not relating to the event.  as always, make sure to plot with others, get some open / closed starters going & have fun! 

TASK ONE | THEN & NOW MOODBOARDS

In high school, the pact was known as a tight knit group on campus. Of course, when Kennedy went missing senior year... that all sort of fell apart. Who each of these individuals are today is likely drastically different than who they were back then. The five years post high school can really shift people. At least... most people. 

The Pact’s first task is a Then & Now moodboard. Who was your character in high school? Who are they now? Feel free to interpret this assignment however you’d like to and have fun with it! This can be two separate moodboards, one moodboard, a moodboard for each relationship, or whatever you have the motivation and muse for. 

if you are inactive for more than two days, we will give you an activity warning. after three days without posting or response from the mun, we will post an unfollow. musings and texts do not count as activity. we totally understand that real life comes before roleplay, so please always feel like you can come to us and ask for a hiatus or semi-hiatus, should you need one!
