I think I'm going to buy a pair of these right now. I was looking for a packing strap, but since I also want to try using an stp I wanted to choose a strap that is compatible. I first looked at the tool belt on Tool Shed, but I just saw the Spare Parts underwear on Babeland.
This is a jockstrap pair, which I'll probably end up buying but they also have trunks on Babeland and apparently have also made briefs and freestyles. I'm going to check out the briefs before I order this pair, but it's looking pretty good.
DIY Packing Strap - Underwear Waistband
Hey guys,
Last week I tried to make myself a packing strap following the instructions from this post on the livejournal ftm site. http://ftm.livejournal.com/1353009.html
Basically, you cut the waist band off a pair of underwear you don't plan to wear anymore, then just cut a tiny slit in the waist band for your packer to stick through. Unfortunately, I didn't have the best results. I may have cut the slit a little too big (I started off with a tiny one but couldn't even get the head through so I cut a bigger hole, but may have gone too big), but the top of the packer kept pushing out and the elastic around the slit just kept unraveling. The waistband is just meant to be worn exactly as it would be if it were still attached to your underwear, and then you just position your packer. I thought it was super comfortable when I tried it on, especially since you'll already be used to the feeling if you make it out of an old pair of underwear. I recommend at least trying it out before buying a packing strap since it's a free and easy alternative. Hopefully you'll have better results!
Here are some pictures from the post if my description wasn't clear enough.
Also, I'm sure if you sewed the edges around the slit you'd have better results.
