Remember, the Pacifistas cost about the same as a warship, so if they're able to outperform them in battle that's a pretty good tradeoff. No great for the marines still on board, but what are you gonna do?
And imagine how crazy this must seem to the world watching the broadcast. Remember, most of the setting is strictly age of sail tech. The reader has been eased into devil fruit and robot craziness, but think about how characters like Genzo and Kaya out in the East Blue would react to this? They have absolutely no frame of reference for the massive jump in technology. I think it would legitimately break someone's brain trying to comprehend what's going on.
