Rolling Stone ↚↛Isaiah & Chohee
A sigh escaped her lips as she leaned against the rough bark of the old pine tree, head tilting upward towards the dark grey clouds. Great. Even mother nature wasn't on her side today. Frustration welled in the pits of her stomach, knotting up her inside as she turned her head towards the strange yet familiar man sitting on the bench. It was already her tenth visit to the park, and the man was always there, idly sitting on the bench looking off into the distance thinking who knew what. From the first moment she'd laid eyes on him, flashbacks to her past increased in relevancy. The man's resemblance to Jiyong was frightening. Skepticism had gripped her upon first glance, as, it wasn't the first time she'd mistaken someone else for the boy who'd sneaked his way into her heart - taking so many of her firsts. Her first kiss - albeit the accident; Her first venture into the city of London without a caretaker; Her first movie trip. In the man, she saw the young boy she'd came to regard as family during her childhood in the london orphanage, an older brother, a secret crush - someone who'd brought both laughter, happiness, and tears to her. But that young boy was in London. Not Seoul. A hand subconsciously rubbed the nape of her neck, fingers trailing on the edges of the infinite symbol tattooed on both her heart and body. It..can't be him right? but god if it is...I swear The nostalgia seemed to brew into anger, then happiness, sadness, before interlacing into a web of exasperation.
Chohee's grip tightened on her camera as her eyes dug into the annoyingly HD photograph displayed on the small digital screen. She already lost track of how many times her eyes meticulously went over the digital photograph - The first reencounter. She'd been visiting the park in search of inspiration for a new project, aimlessly exploring and taking pictures of the scenery when the camera lense settled on the odd color of the man's hair. The white mohawk stood out among the few pedestrians that strolled through the park, and just as the shutters clicked, the man had turned around, as if he knew she'd been there. Flustered, she'd bowed apologetically, before quickly walking away. It wasn't until she was at a safe distance that she looked over the picture for the first time. The similarity between the stranger and Jiyong catching her off guard. The familiarity of the chocolate brown orbs was strikingly painful, but at the same time, it'd sparked her curiosity. Since then, she frequented the park, attempting to unravel the mystery from afar.
Each visit she'd battled with herself, attempting to pick just the right moment to approach him. The time seemed to finally come on the grey, slightly hazy saturday afternoon. Mustering up the courage and attempting to quell the emotions stirring within her, Chohee stood up. Hands patting the dirt off her jean shorts, she took the first step forward. Followed by another, and another. Left. right, Left right. she repeated to herself as she managed to force a smile on her lips. Afterall, it's always better to approach someone with a smile - right? Just in case the man was not Jiyong.
One hand holding onto the camera, the other tucked into the pocket of her long white cardigan, loose fitting t-shirt hanging over her shorts, Chohee's lips opened. " um, sorry to disturb you, but, you look -um. well. oddly familiar." A nervous laughter escaped her lips as a hand reached to push back a strand of her short red tresses. "Are you .... by chance .. - Jiyong?"
