puberty hit me,
@rkjcshua
there’s nothing better than a glass of ice coffee when the weather’s hot, and his friends have given him the perfect reason to have lunch outside of his workplace. a small gathering arranged by his old friends from cali tempted him to ditch royal’s beautiful garden and so far he hasn’t regretted his decision. seeing familiar faces after so long makes him feel like he’s in middle school again, naive yet nasty.
some of the people there he doesn’t even recall, friends of a friend that he might’ve crossed paths once with. it’s all good though, as there’s a sense of belonging he’s been exempt of for a while since getting back to seoul. listening to some of the stories people have to tell, he finds it intriguing how much has happened in his friends’ lives without him knowing. distance does play a big part in determining how involved one is in another’s life, but one thing it never fails to do is to create longing and the desire to reunite.
eyes wandering around the cafe, he waves to some more friends, making small talk before getting back to prior conversations. it’s only when a brown-eyed male comes in that he actually gets up, smile blooming on his lips as he pulls the other into a quick hug.
“joshua! long time no see man, how have you been?” holding the other by his shoulders, he grins like a little kid and his eyes shine like he’s just been enlightened. “you look exactly the same. except for your height, you’ve grown so much!”
