They'd had a great time at the gala and even the Halloween ball together and even since, going to coffee shops together when Hephaestus wasn't busy.
As the holidays drew closer the God found himself busier than normal. He was always at the shop, either at the front helping Lio or in the back at forges, teaching his craft to Mingi. So there wasn't a lot of free time as the holidays drew close and Hephaestus felt awful that he'd basically ignored Skadi the whole time.
Once the holiday rush was through, Hephaestus gathered some confidence and decided to go see Skadi to apologize for being so busy and to spend time with her. He wasn't fully sure where this relationship would go but he'd rock with it as long as he could.
He made his way over to Skadis cabin, dressed in a nice jacket, skinny jeans and boots with a fire red scarf. His puppy Fotia was running ahead of him. Fotia had grown a lot since the time he got her so he took her with him to see Skadi. He knocked on the door. "Hey, I'm extremely sorry that it appears that I have ignored you for the past few months but was not my intention. Holiday rush and I was pretty much working all the time," he states, feeling awkward.
"I hope you don't mind. I brought Fotia with me." He adds, whistling and the puppy running over to nudge against Hephaestus' legs.
