“One more piece.” As the aspiring designer stepped to the side to collect a jacket, he continued speaking to his friend, “I need you to be honest with me, Hatsuharu. Don’t hold back. Tell me what you like and what you dislike about the clothes. Constructive criticism is good.” Designing and making clothing was nothing new to him but doing it on his own, without Hikaru by his side, well, that was a different story.
After meeting and befriending Hatsuharu, Kaoru immediately noticed the amazing style that his new friend had. The more time they spent together, the more creative ideas popped into his head. So, he got to work. After working on a whole outfit for a couple of weeks, he finally decided to invite his inspiration over to try out the attire. Everything seemed to go well, everything fit and it looked great, but as Kaoru slipped the jacket onto his friend and stood in front of him to fix the collar, he felt some anxiety creeping up on him.
Would he like the outfit? Would he be honest with him? “This is it.” As he continued fiddling with the collar, he felt himself getting lost in his thoughts, being pulled out of the moment. That is, until he was brought back when he felt a light touch on his nose. His eyes moved from the jacket to his friend’s face. When had Kaoru gotten so close to him? As his cheeks turned a light red and warmed up, the teen stepped back a few steps to give the other some space. They were really close... And he didn’t even realize it. “So, uh, there’s my mirror. Tell me what you think.”
