Ingredients: 1 box of chocolate cake mix. 1/2 cup of vegetable oil. 3 large eggs. 1 cup of water. 1 cup of chocolate frosting. 1 package of lollipop sticks. 1 package of chocolate candy melts. 1 package of white candy melts. Candy eyes. Orange candy coating for beaks. Waxed paper.
Instructions: As directed on the package, bake the chocolate cake and allow it to cool completely. After the cake cools, crumble it into a big bowl. Mix the chocolate frosting thoroughly with the crumbled cake. Form the cake mixture into small owl shapes, with a slightly tapered body and a round head. Place the owl shapes on a tray lined with wax paper and insert a lollipop stick into each one. Melt the chocolate candy melts in accordance with the directions on the package. To ensure an even coating, dip each owl cake pop into the melted chocolate. After coating, return the cake pops to the tray and allow them to cool slightly. Put the orange candy coating beak and candy eyes on the owl's belly and face after melting the white candy melts. Before serving, let the candy coating and chocolate set fully.
