— "I’ll be productive after this one more scroll" (it’s been 4 hours. I'm in 2018 memes now.)

— “I'm passionate about this role” (no, I'm passionate about not being broke)

— "he looked at me twice = fate" (second glance = soulmate rights. that’s the rule)

— “this job interview went well” (they ghosted me harder than my situationship did)

— “this playlist will heal me” (track 1: trauma. track 2: crying in the shower. track 3: him.)

— “once i land the job, everything will fall into place” (me: unemployed and deeply invested in making Pinterest boards instead)

— “I’ll start applying again tomorrow” (tomorrow: cries. re-reads old cover letter. closes laptop.)

— “this rejection is redirection” (redirect me to a paycheck PLEASE.)

— “this one to-do list will change my life” (hasn’t done a single thing on the last 7 to-do lists)

— “I’ll drink more water” (coffee is 94% of my bloodstream at this point)

— “I’m low maintenance” (until i don’t get a 3-paragraph text back and spiral into existential doubt)

— “I’ll sleep early tonight” (it’s 3:26am. I’m in bed overthinking conversations from 2019.)
