Arabic or Russian

3. A place you visited and didn’t like.

I love travelling and seeing new places. Even places I didn't fall in love with I still somehow appreciate so this is difficult. Rimini [Italian adriatic seaside resort] is one that springs to mind but we were only passing through. We were there off-season and it was just terribly depressing. A grey, cold beach with row upon row of umbrella stands and closed up tower block hotels. I don't like that kind of seaside resort in the summer and it was worse in the winter. Had to hand out flyers for a show in Cambourne, Cornwall once for an afternoon; that's an absolute dump.

4. What do you have on your bedside table

A light (currently not working), my jewellery box, a comb, two old Private Eyes, Walter Scott's Rob Roy and the King James Bible. 

5. Natural or sparling water?

Natural. Sparkling water - bottled water at all in fact - remains a mystery to me.

6. Do you like to drive?

It depends... I've never had to drive for work and I don't own a car. I don't like driving with my parents (which is when I mainly do it) because they don't like listening to music and criticise me. On the few occasions when I drive on my own or with friends I do quite enjoy it.

7. Is there a tv show everybody loves and you couldn’t get into but would have loved to?

Everyone seems to rave about The West Wing. Only seen a couple of episodes out of order. Maybe I'd like it but I'm somehow not motivated to get into it.

8. A childhood memory

Crossing the Mississippi in a traditional steamer in New Orleans. (And learning to spell it - "Em eye es es eye es es eye pi pi eye!")

9. Something random you’re very good at.

Sight-singing. I have perfect pitch and, well, my sight-singing is perfect.

10. Can you draw/paint?

Not really... :( I wish I could draw my characters and scenes from my stories so much.

1) Your favourite piece of instrumental music, and why?

Hmmm, would probably be the violin as I think it makes such a beautiful sound when played properly. I can’t listen to enough Andre Rieu either.

2) Second favourite Downton Abbey pairing, and why?

That’s a tough one! As I’m so MM obsessed I don’t even think about other pairings. It would probably be Robert and Cora. They can be quite cute together sometimes, awwww.

3) If you could learn and master any instrument, which would it be?

Violin! I always wanted to play when I was little. I got the chance to in year 4 at school when I was 9 but my parents then wouldn’t let me :(

4) Do you have a particular position you sleep in?

I used to always sleep on my side and then just switch over lol, but now I seem to find myself waking up on my back which is really random!

5) If you could ask any person (alive or dead) only one question, what would it be?

Controversial, but I have always said that I would love to have a conversation with Hitler and have a little one to one personal chat so that I could really understand more about him from a psychological perspective.

6) You find a genie and have three wishes. What are they? (Obviously you can’t wish for more wishes!)

I wish I was rich

I wish I had a very handsome, wonderful and kind husband (like Matthew Crawley) who understood me, respected me, and loved me more than anything and that we got on very well.

I wish that I could find true happiness and lead a content life.

7) Favourite colour, and why?

Pink, because it’s pretty! :D

8) Best childhood memory?

Being picked by one of the Princes and Goofy in Florida 1999 to dance with them in the parade :D

9) Tell me five things you love about your best friend!

She puts up with all of my mood swings

Always listens to me

She understands my comments and sense of humour

She makes me laugh

She does what I say :P

10) Is there one thing that could make you stop watching Downton? If so, what is it?

Julian Fellowes RUINS THE MATTHEW AND MARY PAIRING IN SOME WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha! Everyone’s so surprised by that, I feel like I was among the few who just went “OMG KILWILLIE!!” the first time I saw it was Julian behind Downton. But I looooove MotG though. LOVELOVE. Such fond memories from watching it. Need the dvds!

Haha I think this is funny that everyone is suddenly just figuring this out! (I used to watch it every week when it was on tv here.) And don’t you think that JF as Kilwillie is so often, so much like how JF actually is?

Haha I don't know JF and I've only seen four episodes of MotG... But it and he are wonderful!

I think at that time they would mostly go through Switzerland. Main train route has always been Milano/Bologna/Firenze/Rome!

Hmm, possibly. The route I've had them take is Paris - Milan - Naples. This chapter is going to be quite possibly the most historically inaccurate of anything I've ever written! I AM REALLY TRYING TO CARE... but eh. :P
